The US along with other western nations has deteriorated from after the 9/11 terorist attacks. It never really had a monopoly on real human values but after 9/11 the only small things that might have set it apart were broken down. I mean torture and mass surveilance. The problem is what could now replace Western and US values. Is there any model to really look up to? Can Wikileaks supply that model? Is China or Russia any better or worse? Will they willingly let their power slip away, that people with the power of the internet alone, will empower themselves coherently?
