The cure for aging will come – but it will not be a silver bullet or holy grail.

If beneficial traits are selected by an advantage in the environment. In this case knowledge and experience in dealing with a technological networked society and the genes and/or chromosome changes are on passed to individuals by sexual reproduction but as people live longer then they have less children. The process would not be synergistic but opposing. I cannot see it happening this way through natural evolution.

Also intelligence, knowledge and experience are not necessarily controlled by genes but may be helped by them. Probably the biggest things that control intelligence are environment and chance happenings. The economic resources and good encouragement of imagination, learning and education.

This is the whole point about evolution. Evolution by natural selection is too slow and it will not be of any use here. I am talking about directed (or intentional) evolution, where we humans can change our own way of evolving and adapting to our environment. Positive biological changes can happen very quickly as a result.
