MYC is a “transcription factor”, which means it acts by turning other genes on and off.

If MYC as a transcription gene, gets out of control later in life, by turning on harmful genes then what controls MYC to keep it restrained in younger life? In other words you might say what is the transcription gene for the transcription gene if there is something like that? Whenever drugs are used to inhibit certain biochemical processes there can be bad side effects. They may also inhibit good biochemical processes. So to find the gene that might regulate myc and fix it, if it has some mutation. A mutation that might affect most of us.
