Should you upload your mind if you can?

My response to this conundrum is simple: http://ieet.org/index.php/IEET/more/murphy20130710

Thank you for posting such a rabid promo-piece for uploading. The mindless obsession on uploading by the “leading” transhumanists is an important inspiration for me in contiuing to write an anti-uploading work of fiction that explores the subject in a far brighter and harsher light than anyone else has dared shine on it yet. Pieces like this are like fuel for me. Please keep up your manical rants so I can finish my project. My project had been languishing over the past year because the uploaders had beeen relatively quiet. This new burst of activity is just what I needed to get the project moving again.

Once the singularity is realized, teleportation becomes obsolete. One need only 3-D print a body at the receiving end then download the psyche – this method circumvents the loss of the psyche between dematerialization – rematerialization of the human brain (and psyche). I think if the author pointed out the facts learned in Wundt’s Psychological Model (Voluntarism, Introspection, Mental Chronometry, and the Conscious Experience) and it’s impossibility to deconstruct-reconstruct it, the argument would be more solid.
