    There is a lot silly with this argument but the one that I find most striking is that we seem to have every reason to believe the universe is a manifold with no boundary. In other words we have every reason to believe that for any spacetime point there is one which occurs temporally prior to it. Just because the universe hasn’t existed for an infinite duration already in no way entail there was a first moment so why even bother??
