A wide spectrum of topics are discussed, including transhumanism, mind-machine mergers, uploading, and artificial super-intelligence.”

A pretty wide ranging discussion of interest to transhumanists. This film probably isn’t a great introduction as it tends to introduce a number of negative scenarios without adequately covering alternative positive futures. However, the film is very worthwhile as a summary of the various thinkers and their views. There are many worthwhile and interesting moments here each of which are worth further review and investigation. Even if you have previously seen this film it’s worth a revisit in light of the most recent developments in the fields discussed here notably and especially the area of artificial intelligence.
