How Quell works.
The Quell device is placed in a sport band, and an electrode is snapped onto the back of the device. The Quell band is then wrapped around your upper calf with the electrode in direct contact with your skin. Quell is powerful enough to stimulate the nerves in the upper calf carrying neural pulses to the brain tapping into the body’s natural pain relief response. Endogenous opioids are then released into the spine where pain signals are blocked from your body. The company claims users will experience pain relief within 15 minutes.
They’ve launched an Indiegogo campaign to engage with early adopters and this looks pretty interesting.
