D&Ad (previously known as Design & Art Direction), is a U.K. based membership organization for creative professionals. Founded in 1962 by a group of designers and art directors who came together to celebrate creative communication and raise standards within their industry and included David Bailey, Terence Donovan and graphic designer Alan Fletcher, D&AD is a member supported not for profit organization much like H+.
The annual D&Ad Awards given in the form of a yellow or black pencil are recognised throughout the world as setting a reference standard for creative excellence.
So I was super excited when I was invited to write a short essay on the impact transhuman technologies could have on traditional marketing and advertising for D&Ad.
