And this is exactly why I am against these online communities.

There are plenty of places to visit, people to talk to in-person, or on the phone etc. willing to share thought, problems etc. An online world is a game, is a fictitious dream of a better life, and is clearly a danger to some. Internet addiction, gaming addiction is all real.

At least if she has been in say, a group in a room chatting with people face to face, these other people could have had the opportunity to observe her manner, her mood etc. and take steps accordingly to talk more personally, or simply to share in a normal environment.

People are escaping reality in a world of people that do not see each other, only see an avatar.

This is so wrong.

Games are meant to be just that, games, not alternate lives to live.
