h+ magazine is now in print and on newsstands. Oh yes, we’ve told you that already but I guess I haven’t blogged it yet. So there.
And now, h+ magazine gets a nice bump from Jason Silva and his pal Max Lugavere on their fab Current TV show, Max and Jason: Still Up this Wednesday.
As Jason says, "Don’t forget to pick up a hard copy at Barnes and Noble, Borders, Books-a-million and newsstands now!" Listen to the man!
And check out the show. I’ve seen programs on global hip hop, burning man, and marijuana decriminalization — just to name a few. All good stuff and the banter between Jason and Max is consistently entertaining.
Read Jason Silva’s h+ Interview and his philosophical meditation on Immortalism, also written for us.

I’m surprised you havent done an article on “The Venus Project” yet
They have been recieving design awards all overthe world, and are currenlty touring South America picking up awards for Jacque Frescos life long work of redesigning civilization on this planet.
The Venus Project proposes a fresh approach, one that is dedicated to human and environmental concerns. It is an attainable vision of a bright and better future, one that is appropriate to the times in which we live, and both practical and feasible for a positive future for all the world’s people.
You should check it out… http://www.thevenusproject.com
I’ve read a couple of Jacque Fresco’s books, and I talked to him on the phone a few times in the 1980′s and 1990′s. His Venus Project incorporates some discredited ideas from the mid 20th Century, like centralized technocratic planning by “experts” and a behaviorist “blank slate” view of human nature. It won’t work in the sort of world we live in.
The Venus Project is not a solid crystallized idea, it’s very fluid and is subject to change where necessary to make it work… The point is to make our cities automated and completely self sustainable wherein people’s “jobs” are not to make money but to enhance understanding and knowledge, to improve life, and solve problems… The new incentives would be similar to the incentive Tesla had to utilize and know electricity. in this proposed world, money is not necessary and crime, prejudice, and stupidity would theoretically eventually fade out over time.
And there would also be no more oil or fuels since sustainable, high tech electric devices would replace the life-blood of the self-preserving (greedy) elite.

FYI: The Venus Project is gaining momentum via The Zeitgeist Movement, It’d be nice if you could work with them and also correct them where you see errors… We need engineers and corrections where there are mistakes, not critics who throw it to the trash without fully understanding it or even thinking about its possibility.
